West Huntsville has a long history of having a great youth program. This tradition continues on today. We provide a program that will allow the young people to develop friends, skills, talents, and faith that will last them for a lifetimeof service to the Lord. Many that have grown up in the West Huntsville youth program have gone on to become preachers, elders, and deacons in congregations in north Alabama as well as many other places.
We believe that it is extremely important for these young people to develop their own faith while they are young so that they can carry it with them throughout their lives. It provides a stable foundation upon which they can build their lives. As Solomon wrote in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
We try to compliment the activities of the families of the congregation and make it easier on them to succeed in the command by Paul in Ephesians 6:4, "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
1st Timothy 4:12 - "Let no man dispise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."
